Does it work on Intel Macs?

Yes. Wallpaint runs on any Mac that can run macOS 13 or later, Apple Silicon or Intel. 4K is smoothest on M-series chips; Intel handles 1080p without breaking a sweat.

How much battery does it use?

Under 2% CPU on a typical M-series Mac while idle, and effectively zero when nothing is visible. Playback pauses the moment you fullscreen an app, sleep the display, or unplug from power — there’s no setting to turn that on, it’s just how it works.

Can I bring my own videos?

Yes. Drag any MP4 into the app and it becomes a wallpaper. No conversion, no upload to our servers, no size cap you’ll hit in normal use.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No account, no telemetry, no third-party analytics. The app talks to our servers only to fetch wallpapers from the library — nothing about you goes with the request.

When will Pro launch?

When we have something worth charging for. The current build is free and stays free for everything it does today. Pro is a planned tier for 4K downloads, lock-screen support, and premium collections — not a paywall around features you already have.
